No one seemed to notice me
Being young was getting so old
Cheap beer and cigarettes
Life was like a movie set
And I seemed to be given no role

Personne ne semblait me remarquer
Etre jeune devenait si vieux
De la bière pas chère et des cigarettes
La vie ressemblait à un film
Et il semblait que je n"avais aucun rôle

But in times of trouble
I can turn to my mother
And I know that she gon’ understand
So at age 18
I cried to my mother
And she told me, “young man”

Mais en périodes de problèmes
Je peux me tourner vers ma mère
Et je sais qu"elle comprendra
Alors à 18 ans
J"ai pleuré auprès de ma mère
Et elle m"a dit, ""jeune homme""

Life is not always a comfortable ride
